How to Add Email Label (Topic)

What is Email Label?
Email label is a category or tag applied to an email message to classify or organize it within an email management system. Labels help users categorize and sort their emails based on different criteria.

Example Scenario:
ABC company is an agriculture company that provides a range of products and services to farmers. They receive a high volume of emails related to different aspects of their business, including customer inquiries, sales orders, supplier communications, and industry news. Implementing organization and filtering using EDM email labels helps ABC company streamline their email management and improve efficiency.

Concept:
Here are 3 aspects of how an agriculture company can utilize organization and filtering through the concept of EDM email labels:

  1. Categorization: EDM email labels enable marketers to categorize their email campaigns according to different parameters.
For example: ABC company offers products tailored to specific crops such as corn, wheat, soybeans, etc. They create labels for each crop category. When sending a product update related to a particular crop, they can apply the corresponding label. This categorization helps farmers easily find information relevant to their specific crop interests.
  2. Organization and Filtering: Labels help in organizing email campaigns and messages within an email marketing system.
For example: ABC company receives numerous emails from farmers inquiring about their products, services, or seeking technical support. They create labels like “Product Inquiries,” “Technical Support,” or “Customer Service.” By applying these labels to relevant emails, customer support team can quickly identify and prioritize inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  3. Performance Tracking: By assigning labels to email campaigns, marketers can track the performance of each category or type of email. They can monitor metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and unsubscribe rates specific to each label.
For example: ABC company segments their email list based on factors like geographical location, crop type, or customer preferences. They create labels like “Geographic Segments,” “Crop-specific Segments,” or “Customer Preference Segments.” By applying these labels, they can evaluate the performance of emails sent to specific segments, allowing them to understand which segments respond better to certain campaigns or content.
